KARLISMYUNKLE teamed up with fashion illustrator extraordinaire Achraf Amiri to create a set of illustrations featuring some of the fashion highlights from SS13 in New York and London. Here they are, featuring Bora Aksu, Fyodor Golan, John Rocha (London) and Hérve Léger, Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham, Theyskens Theory and Marc Jacobs (New York). See under the cut for a special illustration of Jeremy Scott’s “Face Swim Suit”.
Tonight marked the launch of two Hermès pop-up stores (yes, we know it isn’t 2007), one at the Rochelle School of Art in Shoreditch and the other on Ledbury road in West London. The launch – to support the campaign surrounding J’aime mon carré – echoed the consumer experience, on a somewhat larger scale.
First off, you are greeted by a giant orange H-shaped installation with flat-screen monitors to cement the interactive experience (something that is very new for the Parisian luxury brand). Once inside, you take your pick from one of two “scarf bars”, manned by Hermès-trained scarf stylists, on hand to show you how to wear your scarf with style. You then head to the photo area, where you either take away your picture or upload it to the J’aime mon carré website.
Both venues also include short fashion film screening and chill out areas. Definitely worth popping into.

Last Autumn, we announced the London arrival of French brand, The Kooples, exclusively on KARLISMYUNKLE. Following a quick visit to Paris earlier this year, The Kooples once again confirmed their imminent London arrival, and today saw the erection of branded teaser boards at 22/23 Carnaby Street.
Many thanks to film-maker extraordiaire Bibi Castillo for the photograph.
Brilliant and super sexy video for Palladium featuring poster girl for the counter-culture and mediacation favourite Alice Dellal as she puts her boots on and explored an empty warehouse space in Shoreditch, musing on the music she likes, her idols and what inspires her.

This shit is so much classier than The Hills. Leyenda viviente DVF has just announced that she is designing twenty rooms for the Art Deco-style London hotel. Three down and seventeen to go, it is estimated that they’ll all be done and dusted by 2011. Think floors covered in silk leopard-print rugs and custom-made cashmere blankets with zebra-print bathrobes. HOT.
Amazing news just announced by KesselsKramer that one of mediacation’s favourite stores (even if it is too busy during Fashion Week) in Paris, Colette will make a cameo appearance this summer on London’s very own Hoxton Square, bringing with them “hand picked products and artwork of some very special French friends”. At the same time KesselsKramer will take over Colette with unique art work specially created for the collaboration by the one and only Erik Kessels, along with a range of our best titles and products.

LV: Todd Selby is fucking cool, shotgun.
Colette, Paris: Um, our windows could have told you that at Paris Fashion Week in February
LV: Ah oui?
Colette, Paris: Mais, oui.
“The Journey of a Man’s Wardrobe” showcases the fall/winter collection through Selby’s portraits of Vuitton-ified style icons in New York (Ruben Toledo, André Balazs and Waris Ahluwalia), along with others from Shanghai, London and Tokyo (including Verbal, pictured above).
Love the idea, love the campaign imagery (who wouldn’t), HATE the awkward as fuck website. London goes live on 19 May if you can bear to navigate the site…
