The SS13 campaign film and images from Raf Simons have landed. Featuring Andrew Westermann and Matthieu Gregoire with photography and art direction by Pierre Debusschere.
The short film features some great Nirvana audio interview excerpts, the band that formed part of the inspiration behind the collection. Raf looked at Nirvana and the grunge scene (flower dresses, oversized style) as a source of inspiration but didn’t want to create a grunge collection or claim grunge for SS13, but simply nod to it. The video was produced by 245 FOREST.
Every outlet that posts the Jean Paul Gaultier SS13 campaign images is going to “live and breath for” Ginta Lapina as Madonna, Hannelore Knuts as Bowie, Jeneil Williams as Grace Jones & Maria Kashleva as Boy George – and they have EVERY right to. The perfect cast was shot by Sebastian Kim and is completely in line with the SS13 show in Paris last season where Gaultier not only stole the show, delivered on publicity but beneath the theatrics was one of the icon’s finest ready-to-wear collections to date. Watch the show under the cut.

The campaign also features Edward Wilding, Kacey Carrig and Veit Couturier and was styled by Melanie Ward (women) and David Bradshaw (men) with art direction by Giovanni Bianco.

The exterior design of the special edition A-Class features a bold and ultra-intricate signature artwork by Belle Sauvage, which is also the star print of their new Spring Summer 2013 luxury ready-to-wear collection.
