Here’s an incredible preview of the new Givenchy Spring Summer 2013 ad campaign featuring torero Jose Maria Manzanares and artist Jared Buckhiester. The campaign shot by Mert & Marcus and directed by Riccardo Tisci also includes Kate Moss, Marciacarla Boscono (of course) and the incredible Marina Abramovic. Check out the behind the scenes video under the cut.
Wrapping three cultural institutions into one post might come off as a bad move, but then again, they all compliment each other really well. Kicking off in Paris, we have Louis Vuitton’s ‘Who are you, Peter’ at the LV Espace Culturel and the Lagerfeld exhibition at La Maison Européene de la Photographie…back at home in London, performance artist (and Gaga favourite) Marina Abramovic is showcasing at the Lisson Gallery.
When I was in Paris for Fashion Week, our little fash pack made it along to the LV exhibition and Karl exhibition. Both are totally worthwhile experiences and if you can make them, do. Who are you Peter? is running until 9 January 2011 and invites you to “explore a fantastical land in which childhood and creation converse with, inspire and galvanise each other.” Visually, the space is astounding and you are in Neverland from the second you step into the elevator.
If you are a Baptiste Giabiconi, as there is an entire wall dedicated to ‘The Beauty of Violence’ shoot at La Maison.
What makes the Marina Abravomic exhibition super exciting, is the taste that you will get for the collaborative opera that she and Antony Hegarty are cooking up. The hugely talented musician and the legendary performance artist are working on an opera titled, The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic. You can check out a great article about it on guardian.co.uk.
